Shanghai was first settled around 5-7th century and today is the largest Chinese city by population with around 24 million residents.
Little over 30 years ago Shanghai was far from what it is today. A flat city with no modern infrastructure and big buildings.
The video below by Claire and Max nicely illustrates how much has changed by eliminating first all the current buildings from the skyline and then putting them digitally back to show the change.
In september, we were in Shanghai, the “chinese New-York City” with its 20.000 towers and 120 new skycrapers every year : it was the ideal location for our 2nd Archi’llusion film, after the 1st one in Paris.
