Filmed at Budapest Zoo, we get to see a brown bear pause his meal to rescue a crow that’s drowning right there in his enclosure.
It looks at first like the bear named Vali is planning to eat the crow, but he picks the crow out of water very carefully and then just puts the bird on the ground to continue eating his carrots and apples.
What was the bear thinking is hard to guess. Was it curiosity, compassion or just a random act is hard to guess, but it is a beautiful video showing potentially one animal help another species.
Something we humans should think about much more.
