The Verrückt (insane in German) water slide at Schlitterbahn Water Park in Kansas City is finally open for business and the ride is literally insanely bad ass!
The whole structure is 168 feet tall and you have to climb 264 stairs to get to the platform, which is higher than the Statue of Liberty.
The rafts hold three people and people need to get on the scale before they get in as the combined weight can not exceed 550 pounds.
… and there is a warning of a possible death! Yakes!
The Verrückt’s designer Jeff Henry calls it “the baddest ride ever built,” and when he went down the slide for the first time, he wore his cowboy boots, because he wanted to be wearing them if he died.
